If you are interested in joining, please contact president@ritedmclub.org or vicepresident@ritedmclub.org. You could also show up to a weekly meeting and provide contact info then.
Ed Santiago and I are planning to start the following activities again:
-Weekly Meetings
-Music Production/DJ Workshops
-Planning for our own event
-Planning for collaboration with another Student Organization for an event
-Radio or Web Music Broadcasts
-iTunes Podcasts
-Active web forum discussions
-Active participation in promoting Rochester Electronic Dance Music events.

The EDM Club will be at the RIT After Class (Club Day) event this Friday. We will have a table set up from 10AM-2PM with signup sheets, club information, and presentation materials. So be sure to check our table out, and signup if you’re interested!

The forums are back up. Our web admin has noted:
Over the summer, the forum and site got owned by spam bots and registration bots. I pruned all the threads and users and started fresh as well as implementing reCaptcha. This should hopefully prevent these bots from registering.
If you are a current EDM Club member, please register with the website to make posts. Ed and I encourage members to use the forums for any discussion about EDM or any questions about the club.
Some people have said they can’t make the meeting on Friday mornings. Therefore, I have decided that I will run the same meeting after the workshop on Saturday.

The EDM Club holds an all member meeting every Friday of the quarter, excluding weeks 5, 8, and 11 (due to scheduling conflicts). At the meetings, we discuss important topics such as upcoming events, radio broadcasting, music production, the latest in DJ talent and equipment, and many other club-relevant topics.

A message will be sent out to all members and club fair attendees (who signed up on the member signup forms) on Thursday, September 10th concerning meeting times. Also, there will be signup sheets for the Music Production Workshops passed out during the meeting on Friday.
During the winter quarter 2009-2010, the RIT EDM Club started an activity called Music Production Workshops. We are pleased to announce that we are starting this activity again in the upcoming quarter, and hope to continue through the academic year.
